From The Bride & Groom
Classic & Winter-ish. I wanted it simple and elegant – white ERRRRRRTHANG, and that’s exactly what I got. Getting married in February, you can never predict the weather, so I wanted a winter theme without the snow.
One of my favorite moments was dinner time. The food was unreal, but it was the 30-ish mins we had to ourselves. We looked out at the people that made the trip to attend our wedding and celebrate our love. It’s a moment we’ll never forget because we sat in awe at the love they all shared for us.
My sister’s bridesmaid speech! She had saved a contract that me and her signed when we were little – where we promised to never forget each other even when we got married. I cried!…and laughed at how ridiculous we used to be – and that fact that she kept it after so many years!
1. DON’T LISTEN TO ANYONE BUT YOURSELVES! – we had opinions coming from all directions and it was overwhelming at times, but at the end of the day, we needed to remember it was OUR day and we needed to make the decisions that made US happy. And it paid off in the end!
2. You don’t want to say “nice to meet you” at your wedding – sort of a follow up to my previous statement. You’ll get a good amount of ‘oh you have to invite this/that person” – and I made it a rule that if they weren’t a part of our relationship or neither one of us knew the person, the answer was NO…
We went to Bali & Siingapore! It was hands down the best trip of both of our lives! We spent a total of 25 days drinking and eating our way through two countries that took our breath away!
That you get to wake up to your best friend day in and day out. Anyone that says things don’t change after you get married -LIED! Because everything changes FOR THE BETTER!
